  • Sticks must be at the curb by 9:00 a.m. on the day of collection.

  • Place sticks in rows with ends facing the same direction.

  • Do not place materials in the street or mix with leaves or grass clippings.

  • Sticks cannot exceed 9-10 inches in diameter.

  • This service is intended for trimming and storm damage only - not for tree removals

Leaf Collection     Rules

Leaf collection is offered at the end of October through mid-November (please see the Schedule of Services for exact dates).  The following rules apply:

  • Rake leaves into a row along the curb or road edge, but not into the street.

  • Keep leaf rows away from utility poles, signs or mailboxes.

  • Piles with grass clippings or mulched leaves will NOT be picked up. Raked leaves only.

Village employees reserve the right to refuse any materials that are contaminated or otherwise unacceptable.  Weather, emergencies and the volume of materials will dictate the time frame for completion of the collection, so we ask for your patience.  For more information call the DPW at 646.0186.  Please wait until one week before accumulating branches or leaves in front yards.

Trash Collection

Granger

Regular household trash is collected on Fridays.  Collection will move to Saturday when there is a major holiday during the week.  Trash should be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection.  All trash must be bagged and there is a 5-bag limit per household.  Only Granger curb carts can be used for containing bagged trash on collection day.  Construction materials and yard waste are not considered regular household trash.

To arrange for a large item collection or subscription services (those paid by the resident, such as yard waste and curbside recycling) call Granger at 517.372.2800.
